Privacy policy
Effective from October 7, 2026
This is an English translation of the Czech privacy policy. In case of any discrepancy, the Czech version prevails.
Who processes your data
The controller of your personal data is Dan Hamerník, company ID (IČO) 05682525, registered office: Pod Horou 324, 593 01 Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, Czech Republic. If you have any question or request regarding your personal data, write to me at dan@danhamernik.cz.
Contact form
When you write to me through the form, I process your name, email address, subject and the text of your message. I use this data only to reply to you. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in handling your message.
I keep messages for as long as necessary to handle them, for a maximum of 1 year. The form is processed via Google Apps Script and delivered to my Google mailbox. Google acts as a processor.
Website analytics
I use Umami to measure website traffic. It does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device. It records only aggregate data about your visit: the page viewed, where you came from, the type of device and browser, your country and clicks on selected links and buttons.
Your IP address is used only to determine your country and to create an anonymous visit identifier, and it is not stored. The data cannot be used to identify you. The data is stored in the European Union and kept for 6 months. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing how the website is used so that I can improve it.
Links to Etoro and other websites
Some links to the Etoro platform are partner (affiliate) links. If you sign up through them, I may receive a commission. This website does not pass any of your personal data to Etoro; Etoro only learns that you came from here. Third-party websites have their own privacy policies.
Preview images of videos and articles are loaded directly from their publishers' websites (e.g. YouTube), which may therefore record your IP address.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Vercel. Its servers may briefly log IP addresses and request data for technical and security reasons.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of the providers listed (Google, Vercel) may also process data outside the European Union. This only happens under the conditions set out in the GDPR, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing. Just write to me at dan@danhamernik.cz.
If you believe that I handle your data in breach of the law, you can file a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
